Circular to Clients and Special Agents on Change in Correspondence Addressing Protocol
Circular #021
Change in Correspondence Addressing Protocol
From: Office of the Maritime Administrator, Vanuatu International Shipping Registry
To: All Clients and Special Agents
Dear Valued Clients and Special Agents,
We extend our appreciation for your continued cooperation and engagement with the Vanuatu International Shipping Registry (VISR).
Following the recent legislative amendments to the Maritime Act [CAP 131] and the Vanuatu Maritime Safety Authority Act, the Maritime Administrator has now been vested with full statutory authority to oversee and manage the VISR. As such, Vanuatu Logistics and Administrative Services Limited (VLAS) now operates strictly in its official capacity as the Maritime Administrator.
Effective immediately, all correspondence must be addressed to one of the following official designations:
• The Maritime Administrator
• Office of the Maritime Administrator
• The Administration
Please refrain from addressing any correspondence directly to “Vanuatu Logistics and Administrative Services Limited (VLAS)” in matters relating to the Registry.
This change reflects the formal legal and operational structure of the Registry and ensures consistency, transparency, and adherence to the updated legislative and administrative framework under which VISR now operates.
We count on your full compliance with this new addressing protocol, which is essential to maintain proper records, improve response times, and align with international standards.
Should you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the Registry through our established communication channels.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to maritime excellence.
Warm regards,
Saade Makhlouf
