PUBLIC ALERT — Unverified Claims of Vanuatu Approval on Training Certificates
The Vanuatu International Shipping Registry (VISR) has received Basic Safety Training Certificate No. BTIM/BST/101/2025, dated 29 April 2025, bearing the name of Bhargavs Technical Institute of Management (BTIM) and claiming approval by, and issuance under the authority of, the Vanuatu Maritime Administration.
The Maritime Administrator has not authorized BTIM to issue certificates under his authority or claim his approval.
VISR has requested that the institute confirm the certificate’s authenticity and produce the authorization on which it relies. The matter remains under investigation.
Pending verification, VISR does not recognize this certificate as issued under its authority.
Seafarers, shipowners, managers, manning agencies, training institutions, and other parties should not rely on its claims of Vanuatu approval.
Anyone holding a similar certificate, or offered training or certification represented as approved by Vanuatu, is urged to verify that claim directly with VISR before making payment or relying on the document for employment or certification.
Suspected fraudulent documents or unauthorized use of the Administration’s name, seal, logo, or approval should be reported to info@register-vu.com.
Please provide a copy of the document and details of its source.
Personal documents should be submitted privately, rather than posted publicly.
VISR takes suspected certificate fraud and unauthorized claims of approval seriously and will take appropriate action based on the findings of its investigation.
