Circular to Flag State Inspectors
Circular No.5 Attention to Vanuatu Flag State Inspectors,
Please be informed of the following updates regarding ASI procedures for Vanuatu-flagged vessels:
1. Remote Surveys
- Effective immediately, remote Annual Safety Inspections (ASI) will be conducted exclusively by the Safety, Security, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance Manager at the VLAS office.
- If you receive any requests for remote ASI, they must be forwarded to technical@register-vu.com for proper processing and scheduling.
2. On-Site Survey Requirements
- Inspectors conducting on-site surveys must submit a photograph showing the surveyor, the vessel in the background, and the vessel’s name and IMO number clearly visible, along with the official survey report.
These measures are implemented to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of our operations. We appreciate your adherence to these updated protocols.
