Vanuatu International Shipping Registry Strengthens Its Global Presence at Posidonia 2026

As one of the world's fastest-growing flag administrations, the Vanuatu International Shipping Registry (VISR) was proud to participate in Posidonia 2026, one of the maritime industry's largest and most prestigious international exhibitions, which took place in Athens, Greece, from 1–5 June 2026.

During the exhibition, the VISR team held numerous meetings with international shipowners, ship managers, operators, classification societies, maritime consultants, and industry stakeholders, who expressed strong interest in flying the Vanuatu flag. VISR has successfully concluded numerous agreements and business arrangements that will contribute to the continued growth of the registry, showcasing the quality and efficiency of its services, as well as its innovative approach.

A distinguished highlight of Posidonia 2026 was the visit of the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, to the VISR stand. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Secretary-General for taking the time to meet our team, and for recognizing the growing prominence of VISR within the global maritime community. His acknowledgment comes at a time of remarkable growth for the registry, which has tripled its fleet tonnage over the past 18 months. VISR is proud to conclude another successful Posidonia exhibition, reaffirming its commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and high-quality services to every vessel flying our flag.
